Anyone out this way (Oregon), drop me a line and we'll take a boat ride.  Fall Chinook between now and Thanksgiving, Winter Steelhead from Thanksgiving through April.  I am no longer a guide after my heart attack, so we'll just have to do it as friends.

JustDave, what part of  Oregon are you in?   I have kids in Central Point and Coos Bay, Maybe we can say "Hi" if I ever manage to get back up to see the grandkids.   This desert rat will admit that he enjoys going to the "trees" once in a while.

I'm in the northern part, just south of Portland and fish mostly the north coast rivers.  You just never know when duty calls to head south though.  We may or may not be able to hook up, but let me know if you're up here anyway.  If nothing else, I can wish you luck.  The desert is nice too.  In my younger days, I spent about a year in the Mojave, and I just love the oasis that is Vegas.

She is a young lady definately worth a little effort on my part.  So many folks from the BB contributed to getting her out here and adding gifts, etc it was a pleasure to be her host for a week.  My recent heart attack has postponed her return trip at least for the time being.  I am getting stronger by the day and will take a solo trip down the river soon to test my stamina.  If I make it without much todo, I will again have her out this way, hopefully with ideal water so she can really see what fishing in Oregon is all about.

I'm ready real soon.  January is kind of iffy though, we can only go after those native winter Steelhead (C+R).  At least that's all I fish for then.  But I'll take you to a honey hole I know of where you might be able to catch one.......or ten.  I hope they're a little smaller this year though, those 15 lbers a a little hard on me:-)  Just let me know and we're there.
