Papa:I can remember 25 cent a gallon also! I am 56 this year and proud to say that I have 8 grand children! I served the U.S. Army 1968 - 1971 and was lucky to have been stateside the entire time.

In 1969, when I was on leave,the price of a gallon of gas in Okla. was 19 cent! Those wer the days...In 1962 I can remember 12 cent a gallon in Ill. At that time you could by a loaf of bread for a quarter.
