I am looking for a good used canoe for camping and small ponds. I've been laid-off since January, so the cheaper, the better.

    Thanks,

I've been checking craigslist for areas close to home (Rockford, IL - Madison, WI - Quad Cities IL/IA- etc.) There are a couple but have not recieved a response yet. Not sure if I want a canoe or a sit-on-top kayak. A canoe would probably be best with kids.

Here's another thought....there are various Forums on the Internet that have been created in specific geographical locations.

Folks Buy/Sell/Trade things all the time on them.

Do a search on the 'Net for...

"(name of your state)" + Forums

Use the quotation marks but NOT the parenthesis

I have one for sale, it is in St.louis about 5 hours from you.  you can see it at http://stlouis.craigslist.org/boa/1...html

I am going to take some better pics this afternoon.  I am still in the process of making it prettier.  Structurally it is fine shape.

Please email me at tankdg1@sbcglobal.net with any questions.

I got a Coleman 15 ft Outfitter for $100. Included two paddles and two life vests. Luckily it was located in the same town.
