i have one and haven't used it for like to years and it doesn't reel smooth and sounds like the gears are rubbing together. I don't really like zebco . I would suggest any other brands. The only reel i have that might be worse is a horrible shakespere. It always tangled and  made a mess of my line . So i stopped using it.

I`ve got a Jaleoxe , conventional , made by J.A.Coxe & Bronson sumtime between 1940 &1960 mint condition, Eagle Claw 4000 still great (pulled many very large cats with it),an original Zebco 202 no longer use but works,an org.Mitchell 300 no longer in use but mint.I`m looking for some replacements for three poles now.Looked today not sure yet.Penn or Abu Garcia I think This time.

I have a small penn I just got and it`s really nice and smooth.
