wow thats a steal! i can tell you, ive been using this "cheepo" combo for years....but i get mine from farm and fleet (WI) for 30$! now all of a sudden the best deal in fishing sounds like a rip off...ha! dont be afraid of the price either, its not junk! if you dont like chinsy reals, throw your own on the ugly stick! no reason to buy a more expensive rod....i catch everything from pan fish, to walleye on this combo!!! buy it. trust me!

I love Ugly Sticks! I have three of them. One is a 7'6" spinning reel with an Abu Garcia Cardinal spinning reel. I've used this one for the last fifteen years. Then I have a 6'6" Catfish with a Berkley spinning reel. The reel may be cheap but, it does the job. Finally I have a 6' trigger with an Abu Garcia baitcaster. Ben Bryant

I went to my local Target ( Orange City Fl ) and they did not have them , spoke to the store manager and was told that must be a regional thing because his store was never offered that deal.
So back to full retail.

I have found that deals like that are usually a single store unloading something they want out of inventory. I always check the sporting goods isle in any discount retail store I visit, you never know what you might find- stuff like Yum plastics for $1.87, Strike King spinners for $1.97 etc. If it's cheap enough, I buy stuff I won't use cause I can always find someone who wants it! Hi all, another good rod is the shakespeare durango. I have fished 5yrs with the same rod and reel and have caught some fairly good sized fish with it. In my opinion none better that i have found. |

i went to Target two days after your post, it's more of a local overstock managers sale than a storewide sale! Out of stock, but i did buy a lure-smile. |
