I work with troubled teens in Wisconsin and many of them have taken to fishing. This is great and helps keep them out of trouble. The only problem is that I am funding the equipment for this and the number of kids I work with keeps growing, as you might guess we lose some tackle and things get broken. If anyone would have old equipment they don't need or even broken things, some of the guys are willing to help me repair things, that they would be willing to donate any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is my first time posting here so I assume you can reply through this forum, if not you can call me: Todd 608-334-4779
    Thanks

I would like your mailing address as well. I have couple of rods you can have. I never use them and you might as well get some use out of them.

Hey guys, Sorry it took so long to get back here but I have 3 jobs and with the holidays, well you know.
Aaron: Yes thank you, the hats and reel came xmas eve and the boots today. I look forward to the guys faces!

Tom: We can always use more, one of the places I work we work with people with mental handicaps too and my bosses caught wind of my plan and are sending some of those clients out with me also. I have come across some rods, in resale shops, that I can work on but working reels are harder to come by.

Oh, this is so cool; one of the guys I work with is building a huge jon boat that will have a loading ramp and swiveling platforms for wheelchairs. 2007 going to be a good year and you guys are a big part of it!

    Thanks a lot!

    Hey Todd,

I will pack them up and send them on the way.
They require some clean up and a good lube job.

TODD2. I noticed the post about needing gear was over a year old but thought I would try. Got some things I could send if you're still in need. What types of stuff do you need? Send a reply/ PM or call 270-877-0446 (Home) or 270-272-8703 (cell)

Hey fish-dunct-tional, Yea I'm always in need of stuff! Any kind of outdoor stuff; we fish, hike, boat, but mostly fish. I am getting some of the guys into lure making this winter, we tried last year but didn't have the supplies.
Thanks for the interest, if you would like more info let me know.

Thanks davesett2000, We are running on mostly luck right now so we'll take all the luck we can!
I recently ran across a new group in WI called K.A.M.O.{Kids and Mentors Outdoors}, they are helping kids that wouldn't normally get to participate in outdoor activities get involved in fishing, hunting, etc. It is a really neat group, they just started a website:www.kamokids.org, it is still under construction but keep an eye on it if you are interested.

Again, thanks to those who gave. All the guys that wanted to got to fish in '07, there are more guys now and more on the way so '08 should be challenging!
