Well the 172nd BDE was extended for duty and will not be returning on time. NAFC Life Member Chinook has been called back along with the rest of the soldiers at Fort Wainwright that had returned this last month. Officials from both the State of Alaska and the Dept of Army set a new return date for the BDE at mid December.

The Stryker BDE was needed in Bagdad for a major push to end the ongoing unrest and violence in the City. All the brave soldiers that just returned are headed back this week and those that were just days away from returning to Alaska are staying for at least 120 more days.
