    Salt Waters, May 3rd 2005
    Halibut
    · Halibut fishing inside the bay has been sporadic so far. The best fishing is in the deep waters outside Resurrection Bay. Keeping your bait on the bottom and having patience is the key to catching halibut at this time of year. Halibut fishing will improve steadily as these fish move from deep over-wintering waters back into shallow summer feeding areas.

    Salmon
    · King salmon fishing has been fair to good in Resurrection Bay waters, with the best fishing in Resurrection Bay south of Callisto Head. Use a downrigger and depth finder to increase your success. So far, trolling with herring has produced the best results.

Nothing happening in the fresh water at this time. Dolly Varden are still in their winter holes, but will move toward the salt water within the next few weeks. No salmon have made it to the fresh water yet as they are still in the Bay goofing around Big Grin<!--graemlin::D-->
