I finally got another chance to "Take a Soldier Fishing" I provided all the gear and instruction to take SSG Brian Manley and SPC Alex Langley fishing for their first Alaskan Salmon. Both guys are stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska and had never been fishing for salmon. I planned what I call my mid-night run to shoot down on the highway Saturday afternoon to the Klutina River...fish our limits of sockeye and return home for Fathers Day on Sunday. It worked out awesome! They both caught on quickly and we all limited before mid-night and fished our second limit after midnight. Lots of fish and a great pleasure to take 2 of our nations finest out for their first sockeye salmon! These guys might end up honorary Salmon Slayers! Enjoy the pics...
