Greetings fellow anglers. My buddies and I are headed to the beautiful White Mountains on June 2nd for a week of camping and fishing. Our plan is to camp at Horseshoe Cienega Lake just 15 minutes east of Pinetop/Lakeside and do daily runs to the other nearby lakes also. There will be 6 of us going, 4 adults and 2 teenagers.

We go every year at this time to honor the memory of our best friend and fishing partner Tom, who sadly passed away in 2005.

If any other NAFC members are headed that way or live in the White Mn. area and want to get together and do some fishing, let me know!! We're going up on Monday the 2nd and leaving the 9th and will be camped at Horseshoe Cienega the whole week. I'd really like to meet some other members and trade some tips and tricks.

Who knows? We just might break the lake (or state) record this year!!

Send me a message or post here is you're interested. Hope to hear from you soon!!

    -Sean

You are a week too early for me.  WE are taking grandkids on a short vacation and will spent a few days up there, then we will spent a few days in Apache Creek, NM with my sister and brother in law.  Aught to be a good time of year to have a chance at a good one or two.  Tight lines.

SeanB, guess you didn't break the state record for Brownies, Grandkids and I didn't either.  Actually we didn't catch that many fish and then not untill we changed baits.  No luck at all with "Troutkrilla" and that stuff smells and no luck with "Gulp" worms, smells also.   Did better on "Super Zekes" and it has almost no bad smell. Helped when I upgraded their tackle.  The girls did have a great time catching crawdads and we donated them to those who were collecting for a "boil".  My job was to pick up the "bugs", kids loved catching them but were not about to touch one.
