Moved from Wisc May 14. Wanna go fishin? been out a few times from shore on lake pleasant.Had minor succes, but realize i MUST  have a boat to get at better fish. Any one around that wants to show a life member how its done out west? I got the dropshot teq down, I got skills doin some tourney stuff back home, been fishin since age 4.Dad schooled me,  may GOD rest his soul. Not a goober or feak just a certified bass addict. workin on gettin a belly boat here that can get me @ some donkeybass. I got gas $$ for the boat & a little to put in the truck, so i`ll comp majority of gas costs?Dont mind night fishin at all, dont mind spending all day in boat either. HARDCORE is my attitude when fishing.Swimbait chuckin? Can do it all day. Used to fishin musky o.k? Need i say more? If i dont catch any thing I know i put it all out there.  I dont care. Seeing all the new wildlife & scenery is awsome anyhow. I gotta get @ these donkeys ya got here!! Dont have to be a pro or have a tricked out rig. I fished out of a 16ft Ted Williams sears boat for 3 yrs. All i had on it was a 55lb  thrust trolling motor ok!! 2 people throwin 12in baits is hairy in a rig that size! but it gets her done!!   So if yer down,, hit me up!!!!!

I'd be down to take ya out on the lake if ya don't mind fishing out of a 12' aluminum.  It ain't much but it gets me off the bank.  I don't have a gas motor either...  Just a 46lb thrust trolling motor.  It does just fine out on the water though.  There's not much room in it, but it'll manage 2 people, a small cooler, 6 rods, and a few small tackle bags just fine.  I do however prefer to fish on weekdays so there's not as many idiots zippin around.  Get at me if you're interested.

Thank God my father taught me to fish!!!

I got ya message.  I'll call ya tomorrow evening after I get back from the lake.  The wifey and I are headin out to Bartlett in the morning.

I'm good with the battery.  I've got a group 27 AGM.  It'll push us around the lake all day without breakin a sweat.  As for standing up in the boat...  No prob.  Just not the both of us at once.  lol  I ain't gonna lie my boat is kinda ghetto, but it floats.  I don't have electronics or nothing either.  Just a trollin motor, the battery, some clamp on lights, and a couple of floatation cushions for the bench seats.  As for ya size... No worries.  My boy is just over 300lbs and he and I do just fine in the boat.

When I call ya tomorrow we'll talk about where & when we're going, and what ya need to bring.

Hey fact 135 , been a while since I've seen a post from you. Got that truck fixed huh ? I havn't been out to the lake since 4-5-08 . Gas prices put a damper on running my gas hog Evinrude. Looking at going out 6-20,21-08. Hope to catch up with you one of these times.

    Mister Mystery...

I was busy finishing up my classes at Rio Salado and then we had a death in the family so I was MIA for a while.  Finally got myself into a new vehicle so I've been hitting the lakes pretty regularly again.  Bartlett has been treating me well with lots of numbers.  I did well at Rosy as too... Nothing over 6 lbs though.  I also took a week off and went up to my cabin in Alpine and fished Big Lake for some trout.

Sorry to hear that the gas prices have been keeping you off the lake.  It's been killing me too.  I've still gotta fish though...  Just been eating a lot of Raman in order to keep myself on the water.  lol

I'll be at Pleasant next week.  I hear Canyon is finally starting to recover so I may have to check that out to see about those trout fed bass as well.  Someone also got a 14lb bass at Rosey so I imagine I'll be heading out that way in the near future too.   I'll also want to check out Fools Hollow soon.  The fish are just starting to move up to spawn there with the water temps finally in the low - mid 60's.   I don't know how I'm going to afford gas for all these trips...  I may have to sell a kidney!  lol

Where are ya headed on 6-20 & 6-21?  If the wife doesn't have me running errands or doing yard work maybe I'll head out with the boat and meet ya.  Keep me posted.

Thank God my father taught me to fish!!!

The gas things got me pissed off!!!!  there are so many reasons we should not be paying these prices, yet so many reasons we are. what the hell can we do? Caught by the short hairs.  There will soon be the upper class & the poor. No in between. No middle class. This country is gonna come to its knees if OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS dont do something. I dont like being a doomsayer brothers, but things are gonna get worse before they get better. I know this is a fishing forum ok, but this is affecting our way of life, our privelege & right to fish.!! I suggest we but up as many deep cycle batteries as possible, start hoarding gas in anything you can put it in.BE SAFE OK!! DONT BE BLOWIN YERSELF UP !!      FISHFEARME,,,,,AS I MAY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO EAT YOU.     BAAAAHHHHHH!

faci135 , sorry for your loss. that's always hard. Glad to hear someone is getting out to fish though. I'll be heading to Lake Pleasant next trip. That's my usual location because it's closest to home and offers so many species to fish for. Target date is 6-20,21-08, but not written in stone yet. Let you know when date gets closer. Last time out, 4-05,06-08, at Bartlett my largest fish were a 4# Largemouth and a 5# channel cat. My partner's largest were two 3# largemouths.

Who`s makin all those 2-5 lb bass in Bartlett? Some big fat donkeybass! She`s the one Im gunning for. The water is too deep & theres way too much quality structure for there not to be. The "spots" to get at em are the "spots off the spots" know what im sayin? Dont go where everyone else goes, or where  you usually get decent fish. Go to the ares next to , or around them.Fish slow & dilligently w/ big fish baits right for the conditions & structure.    Thats ALL Im gonna give up now , ok? Some say pleasant is past her prime? I DONT BUY IT!! I looked at a good topo map of that lake & I started drooling on it ok!! That lake is insane. Theres WAY TOO MANY PLACES TO HIDE!!     Fact135,  Were gonna put the smack down on em ! I do recomend that you rig a spinning rod w/ the dreaded  4lb flouro although, as the water is stoooooopid clear.   [15-20 ft visibility].  1/8 oz Shaky heads w/ a 6-10 in worm, yum crawbug 2.5 in, 1/4 oz tungstensinker, dropshot a little bigger bait than usual? & bluegill swimbaits. Thats gonna be my strategy unless someone knows something i dont? Theres always someone giggling in the corner that knows something nobody else does. I WANNA BE THAT DUDE!!
