URBAN LAKES -- The second catfish stocking of the spring season will take place the week of April 5-10 at all Phoenix and Tucson area Urban waters, and will include extra amounts of fish. Lakes will continue to be stocked with catfish every two weeks through early July.

Best baits for the 15-20 inch cats are worms, stink baits, hot dogs fished on the  24-inch, 4.7 pound channel catfish was recently caught from Tucson’s Lakeside Lake by  using a night crawler. Reports of 4, 6, and 8 pound channel catfish have come in from Surprise Lake in Surprise.

                 Technique: Fishing at bottom using size 10 treble hooks.

                   Bait- CHICKEN LIVER work good  also
