    I think you are going to give us all some good ideas. Most times spinnerbait trailers are straight tails, but adding a trailer is said to slow the fall allowing the bait to be worked slower. I think you might do OK with those lures.

    i have heard that not to use the swivel connector, because it affects the bait

    Most modern spinnerbaits have an open line tie and snaps cannot be used. A swivel should be unnessary as these lures do not twist...and if they do, it means they need adjustment. And even amid all of the controversy over which is better, deirect tie or the old snap swivel, direct tie is generally shown to be better (not always ) but snaps sure make lure changing easy.
