ive been looking for weeks for minnows w/o having to go and seine'em out myselfand nobody has any except for one guy in paragould and he sells'em by the bulk and i dont have a rig to keep'em alive , any suggestions?

Hey Jedi. It's Fred from Maryland just dropped by to say hey. HEY! I used to put my left over minnows in a fish tank. Ya gotta clean it alot but, If ya got buy in bulk why not.I had several tanks of fish but I used a 55gal for the bait and took a bait bucket when I went fishing.My old neighbor Craig and I would go in on the adventure. It helped with cost in the long run.

Nice area. A few years back I did the windows at the College down there.Used to hit up The Green Door among a few other spots out on Solomans Great fishing down that way.Good people too.

was staying in rockville , running a small restaurant and one morning when i was getting ready for work the owner called me and said we're not gonna open anymore the prick, so anyways ive gotta family to take care of and my girl is from here and her family said move down here so i did, wanna open up my own spot here if i can get a loan but my credit aint so great , wanna open up like a breakfast bait and tackle type of deal and since we live within a few miles of 3 rivers and god knows how many lakes and ponds i figure this would be the perfect spot, ive got the management experience and more but just need the money , and man im tellin ya i can drive no more than 5 -6 miles in any direction from the house here and theres litterally 100's of different spots to fish and on so many different bodies of water, only thing that sucks is that its all fresh water man no salt lol but i can deal with it, but still miss md though

What a prick. Could of given you a heads up. At least you got a plan. I hit rock bottom 5 yrs ago and just got out of that hole. I am self employed and  finally out of the  bad credit vaccum. It took  a little time and a secured credit card but It got my credit rating from the low 300's to the mid 700's. Good Luck with your plan when it get's up and running( may need to find a couple of investors) let a brother know and I'll stop in for a hot minute.

will do when and if it happens lol but man self employment is the way to go i think if a person has the skills and the means, i myself for one am tired of working for other people and am ready to take on the ownership end of the deal and see what happens, ive got a few ideas im toying with until i can get up enough funds for the shop, im building a smoker trailer  and am gonna sell bbq this spring and summer , and do some light carpentry and painting etc. to get by not to mention do alotta fishin' lol
but the worse part of the whole deal with the last employer is the cocksucker still owes me $1050.00
since late november,said he was gonna send me a check when the auction was over from selling the equipt. from the store but now is renegging on it so i contacted DLLR in md and their supposively looking into it,just really pisses me off because i worked my ass off in that store some 6 days a week up to 12 - 13 hours a day, i was the boss so i was constantly there even going in on my days off to make sure everything was going smooth, but he'll get his in the end ,ya know what they say , "what comes around goes around"

Not a bad deal.I have a friend who is retired who built his own hog cooker. He tows it behind his truck. He does parties and stuff and can cook a 250lb pig in 4 hours. I think he charges something like $400.00 a pop. Not bad when you figure he gets going around April and can go on until November. Hell last year he was doing 4 or 5 a week. All tax free. And that bastard will  get his for sure.Because somebody will screw him out of loot.

Hey by the way have you gotten a fish tank yet?  If you where still in the area I have an old 55 gallon tank that I no longer use. I would let it go for $100.00 with metal stand.

naw not yet , gonna grab me a rig today though, kinda pisses me off that i left 3 tanks behind in md  a 55 a 40 and a 20gal. long had em for my snake but didnt have room to bring with, as for the smoker yea i think it'll do quite well here ,people are kinda funny here though and dont wanna spend money lol not that they have much to spend i think but thats what everbody says lol its rediculous how much cheaper everything is here than back home man i was paying $1250.00 a month rent + utilities  for a 3 bedroom 1-1/2 bath house  in rockville in a crowded neighborhood down the road from white flint mall , though convenient with bus lines and shopping close by but man ive been looking at rentals here and what i had there i can get here for around $325.00 a month and bigger lot and privacy lol not to mention all the fishin' holes lol but not as many jobs here though without driving through your ass hole to get to your elbow, and dont pay as much,but a man can make a decent living here and keep his piece a mind without all the hustle and bustle, but i cant lie man i'd rather be back in md, so tell me man whats up with you ? whats your story? .......jay

Me? I'm chillin like a villian. I got divorced 9yrs ago.I got the house in Germantown (sold it). I absorbed all the debt. Had a stupid period( dated a girl 12 yrs younger than me. I'm 42 now), filed bankruptcy. Now I got a two trucks ( a pick -up and a Jeep).I'm self employed and sit on a hill in Frederick overlooking 21 acres (15 wooded). Got me a pool a hot tub and the best woman I've ever had. I hunt and fish and see my kids( 17,22, 24) whenever I want or they want.Told you I hit the bottom and got out of it. I tell my kids..." You can hit the bottom and the only way to go from there is UP". Check out the fish that I caught this afternoon. On the Maryland forum.

cool beanz i checked'em out nice early smallies i caught these today coulda nailed some crappie too but folks was in my spot lol they did tear em up though , got my minnow rig today too and gonna go nd get the shiners 2morrow and fill'er up bought a 35gal. tote and a nice big pump with 2 air stone strips should work out , and i feel ya on the rock bottom thing ,got 3 lil 1's myself  13,8,and5 8 year old is with me here other 2 back in md one of the reasons i mis it there so bad but anyways heres the pics bass was on the 1st cast no B.S. bluegill was later and i tell ya man , blue gill here are huge especially iy being this early cut the xxxx outta my finger filleting that bass though could use stitches but nothing that a paper towel and some electric tape wont fix ya dig

That's funny. I was hanging recessed lights yesterday and cut the f@#k ot of my finger and all I had was a paper towel and electrical tape tp stop it.  Got up this AM and it is still bleeding. Oh well such is life it well stop when I run out of blood.

yea man its friday, i rewrapped the cut yesterday and as soon as i unwrapped it it started bleeding again lol same as this morning , girls naggin' me to go get it stitched but i say fu** dat lol, though i do need'em, think ima go to walmart and get some of that liquid stitch and see how it works out , caught some crappie yesterday not biting like they were though man damn cold front came through kinda screwed it up but thats life also caught a grennel sumbitch was like 5lbs , man them things are a nuecence but fun to reel in though
