Hey, guys! just wanted to let everyone know that lbt and Gary have that bass fishing down to an art form on the Merced River, and that I wanted to thank them for inviting me, my daughter and her friend for a weekend of camping, swimming and fishing. We had a lot of fun. We took canoes down a 4-5 hour stretch of river and lost count (seriously, still debating the quantity) of bass we caught. Oh, there were no monsters, the largest being around 16", but just the joy of watching these voracious fish busting the surface for topwater was simply awesome! We had 3 families for a cookout Saturday night at our campsite that included fresh batter-fried bass tacos, seasoned elk steak and tri-tip fajitas with beans and rice. Everybody was so stuffed. Anytime, guys, I'm ready to do it again. I'll choose the next spot, but it'll be tough to beat the excitement of that canoeing. OK, Gary, where's the pix? <!--graemlin:;)-->
