If the striper bite picks up by then, San louis sounds good.If not Eastman would be good.Catchfishcatcher need to hook a striper. The last two times I took him striper fishing we got skunked.

Hey all! Been so busy hunting and stuff. Take a look at that trophy blacktail buck my daughter killed in the Misc. section. On the 26th we'll be heading back to Oroville as it's the last weekend of the deer hunt for that area. I did kill a nice forked buck this past Saturday with my bow, but I still have a tag left to fill. Oh, and we'll be fishing for salmon again on the Feather River at Oroville. Got to catch one of those salmon on my fly rod. Too cool!

Well we fished Eastman and got SKUNKED.So we hit Bass Lake today just to get the skunk off the boat.We did it 4 nice Kokes in the boat and we lost 5.Catfishcatcher hooked a small bass about 60 seconds after he got his line in the water.Thats always a good sign. Smiler<!--graemlin::)-->

don't feel bad Lnsd. I got da skunk wednesday night, the river is all screw'd up!my buddy got one bass! i think all the lakes are droppin do to the salmon run cuz the merced river is almost un~runnable...so if eastman has just started letting out mass water again for the salmon it will screw up alot of fish in the lake?maybe?
we went out sat, and i got one nice trout but my buddy got da skunk! so what comes around goes around!
where is anyone think'n of next?
a buddy went to baggbey this weekend he said there was tons of bass, and he seen a huge cat on bottom with lots lures in it's mouth , sounds like the money fish Big Grin<!--graemlin::D--> to bad the ramp is high and dry still....i could run the canoe in there i bet....

    sanluis ? millerton? striper?!!!!

The next full moon is 24 November. Right after turkey day. I'll be down visiting in-laws for 4 days in San Diego. We'll spend 2 days deer hunting Camp Pendleton, IF they'll reopen it for deer hunting after the fire that ravaged the base last week. I've been reading that San Luis is doing pretty well for stripers right now. My buddy, Rob, and I will be on the Kern River this Thursday for a 1/2 day guided fly fishing trip we won as part of a river clean-up project last month. $250 prize, and we're taking advantage of that in 3 days. I'll be honest, fishing will be tough for me for the next couple of months. My family does a lot of hunting this time of year. A lot of quail, duck, deer and pig hunting all the way until February. When th fishing is off, the hunting is ON!
