I'm from Arizona and plan to take the wife & kids to San Diego the first part of June. We want to go off-shore fishing, either 1/2 day or 3/4 day trip. Anyone have a suggestion or information on a credible charter or guide. There will be 2 Adults and 2 kids (age 4 & 11). We have not decided on exactly where we will be staying, which will depend on where we find/locate a good guide/charter for the fishing.

Thanx in advance for the info.

Wow, can't believe no one helped you out.  I personally don't go in for the cattle boats, but here's a link to some of them:  http://www.sportfishing.org/trips.html

I highly recommend getting some kind of seasickness pills, patches etc. (just in case), as seasickness could ruin a trip.

On the other hand, if you'd like to try something more personal, I'd recommend a skiff for you and your family for some inshore fishing.  Personally, never used one down in San Diego, but the Newport Bay skiffs here in Newport can get you to some dynamite light tackle fishing with big fish rewards.

    Here's a link to a San Diego skiff rental I found:  http://www.seaforthboatrental.com/p...yskiff.php

Hope this at least gets you pointed in the right direction,

    Steve
