Fishing is great! As you all know our permits went electronic last year.Well Miss Jodi must have seen how many of us there were. Well it doubled to $40 a year. I can get an out of state permit in Mass for $37.50.The waters better be stocked better this year!!!!! I feel most people will start fishing illegally, and it's a shame. I mean come on it's FISHING ! STOCK THE WATERS

I agree with you that the price increas is bogus. Unfortunately for us fishermen, doubling the price of the licenses doesn't double the $$$ going to DEP Inland or Marine Fisheries. This is all going the the Rainy Day Fund (insert politicians purse here). There will be no benefit to anglers. Also stocking will likely be poor this year as the Kensington hatchery saw an enormous overhaul to re do the concrete raceways. All fish in the hatchery were stocked out in the fall. Any fish reared in Kensington will likely be fingerling salmon not "catchable" size Trout. At least the Pike hatcheries won't be affected. I am happy to see others have a similar opinion as mine. Tight lines to you all.

Anyone fish Pachaug Pond. Heard it was a great bass and pike fishery in my own state and never been there. Going in May and hope to land a nice bucketmouth. Tight Lines!

SMB, LMB, Pike (haven't caught any yet, but have talked to guys that have this year), and white perch (unbelievable fighters for such a small bass species)
