My mother in law is coming down to west palm beach to visit and wanted to go fishing. She will be down here in August. I am planning on taking her on a half day trip out on the Atlantic and was wondering what we would most likely be catching around that time of year. I don't do much salt water fishing so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Are you going charter boat or party boat ( drift fishing ) . Party boat fishing  I've caught king mackerel , wahoo , grouper , barracuda , snapper , triggerfish , etc. Charter boat you'll likely get dolphin ( dorado ) , wahoo , sailfish , marlin , mako shark , etc.  Have fun . I'm a former Ft.Lauderdale boy living in Phoenix. I miss that salt water fishing , but we have big lakes here with plenty of largemouth , smallmouth , stripped bass , and flathead cats.     Happy fishing.
