Hey all, Greetings from VA......I will be on temporary duty at Fort Benning for about six weeks.....I was wondering if some one could help me out and point me in a good direction to catch fish.....I won't be able to fish a lot and I can only pack a little of my gear (maybe a rod or two, and will have to condense about 20 boxes into 2 or 3) ..... but if anyone knows some good spots and what to use near Ft Benning I would really appreciate it, I just don't want to waste what little time I will have..... Thanks in Advance

I can't offer much, but a few websites to get you started.

http://www.gofishgeorgia.com/ as the state DNR page. You can check for small lakes/ponds in your area as well as PFAs  You can also check out http://www.gastateparks.org/ for fishing opportunities at the local state parks.  There is also http://www.georgiariverfishing.com/ for fishing info on georgia rivers.

I'm located north of Atlanta and haven't fished south of Atlanta yet.

    good luck
