Good Morning, even though it is almost afternoon. Didn't leave the boat untril 10 last night, and it is a bit over an hour trip home. Slept in this morning, now I have to pack last night's catch and catch up on chores so that I can get on the water again! Glad we have so many small ponds around here, the lakes are full of boats this weekend. Tom

Seems I am the only surviving member of the Boyz! I may just have to take up weekend residence at my sister in law's place and claim Ohio residency! It is a shame, because there have been some interesting things going on with the water levels in the Fox Chain of Lakes and it would be nice to have some members to discuss this with! Tom

ice fishing is over now. at least for me. What do you plan on fishing for this year and how?

I want to learn how to fish the Miss. for Walleye using a Drop-shot Rig instead of a plain ol' jig head. I've heard the drop-shot rig is easier to fish in current. especially if you use a heavy weight to keep your line vertical.

Also plan on fishing some streams for trout. But it looks like I will be driving to Iowa to find the trout streams. Maybe WI.,, too

Good morning. Looks like the lakes and ponds in McHenry and Lake counties are pretty much free of ice now with the exception of some of the deep quarrys(Three Oaks). Time to wet a line. Tom

I've been out a few time to the local State Park. Only caught a few small bass. Saw a guy catch an 18" Muske from his boat. Wish the rain would go away.
