I got the boat pulled out and ready to trailer. I forgot to take out the drain plug from the back of the boat this winter. I had alot of water in the bottom. I hope it didn't crack my bilge or livewell pumps. I'll have to look at them a bit closer. I need to get a good cover to fit my boat. I bought a cheap one from Wal-Mart last year to get me by. It's already got rips in two places. My good cover finally gave out on me (well...some cats tore it up when we moved back in 2006). It's a Sea Nymph (140S). Lowe owns them now, but they say their covers won't fit my boat. I think the windshield is a bit taller. Cabels's and Bass Pro don't make them to fit my boat either. I guess I'll have to get a custom one made.

JBird, use old pieces of carpet to lay on the sharp parts of the boat when you put a cover on it. It will keep them from rubbing through.

cienkus, I wont be planning anything in Illinois since I live in North Central Wisconsin. But I wouldn't be above joining you all for a meet. My brother lives in Minonk. Hes a member also but not bright enough to use the forums. My grandfather had a farm in sight of Starved Rock so I am familiar with the area.

Hey turnip, what's new?  Sorry I missed U in LaCrosse.  Brenda and I  just got back from  The Eagle River Chain for 10 days.  This summer was a fiasco.  One family drama situation after another.  I am going to try my damnedest to make it next year with my son.  Hopefully I can get out for some peace and quiet before the ice-cubes set in and have to put the boat away for another seasons nap.

I'm back. Haven't done much fishing lately work has been getting in the way. I turned my blue collar for a white collar (managment). I am hoping to get out more this year, I may be moving to Paw Paw, only 10 mins. from Shabbona Lake. C1 lets hook up soon. Later

Hey  Bill, good to see you back my friend.  I guess ALOT of us have fallen off the radar for awhile.  Hows Renee' and the little one?  Tell her Brenda and I say HOWDY.  Hollar at me anytime you want to hook up.  Congrad's  on your "white collar job."    Just got back from fishin' up in the Dells w/ my brother.  High water and crappy (not crappie) weather made for very bad fishing right now.  Caught a few white bass but thats about it.   Hope all is well and hope to hear from you soon.  Welcome Back.

Cienkus, if I may ask, where'd you go fishing in the Dells?  I've been itching for a long time to try Mirror Lake myself.  I drive over it fairly often on the interstate, and it always looks really inviting.

Congrats on the promotion. Glas to see you are still working. I got laid off at the end of January and haven't found anything full-time yet. Been drivin' a cube van for Menards. It's spotty work. It's like being on-call 24/7.

A-Lotta good a 4-year BS does for me now. Manufacturing really stinks in this area.

If your going to LaCrosse don't forget to bring your boat. Just got back and we really did well on the bass both largemouth and small manly on crankbaits on the rocks. Jim.

Went on a Perch charter Monday out of East Chicago (Indiana) Marina on Monday. There were 4 of us and we got 32 keepers in 6 hours. The bite was slow and the fish were really scattered. We fished all the way to 95th street in Chicago. Got some really good Jumbos and probably threw a dozen or so small ones back.
