I've fished powderhorn a lot ovr the years. There's Bass, Carp, Gills, a few perch. On the very north end of it there is a conservancy area where fishing is not allowed. There are a lot of weeds in the lake during the summer months and gas motors are not allowed.

There are a couple places in the South Burbs I fish :

Midlothian Reservoir or Twin Lakes located on 167th and just off Cicero Ave

Dolphin Lake located in Homewood IL off of 183rd and Governers Hwy and this is more of a pond but pretty good bass with a couple 4-5lbs and its catch and release only. All shore access

Walton Lake also located in Homewood IL near 183rd and Halsted. This is a all shore fishing lake with access to the whole lake off the paths and trails. It's shore fishing and catch and release only for the Bass with some nice 1-3lbs fish. You have to be a member to fish and membership is $25 per year

Monee Reservoir Located in Monee off I-57 in Will County

    Hope these help

Hey you might try Mazonia, either the north or south area's. Not so much

shore fishing, But if you have a boat , you can do well.

Check DNR web site for reg's as they have site regs, as trolling motor on

the north area only, and idle speed on south area.

The water is up, cloudy and starting to warm up alittle.

There's a bait shop on the way in, The Sportsmans Edge, Braidwood.

Their's acouple of guy's there that know Mazonia, you might stop a ask what's

going on. And Braidwood cooling lake is just a crankbait throw from there.

I hope this will help, Good luck and fish on. Chop
