You find anyone yet? I don't get many weekend days off, but I'm fairly knowledgable about fishing the Kankakee River and backwaters; also, Bass Lake, Pine Lake, Long Lake, Flint Lake, Salt Creek, Trail Creek, etc. I used to know Wolf Lake like the back of my hand, but now that I no longer live in Hammond I don't get to fish there very often any more. I'm primarily a bass fisherman, but have gear for crappie, walleyes, pike & musky too...also do a little flyfishing and am a longtime fieldtester for prototypes for Bettencourt Baits out of Missouri.

Roaming the banks of the Kankakee River and anywhere else fish may lurk...

Not quite NW indiana, I'm in Kokomo, but I know several nice places that aren't too far from you. Especially Kosciusko County, which is about a two hour drive from Hammond.
