Was just out there today. Didnt catch any fish, but its a learning experience. The water temp was 35 degrees and the marina is not accessable due to ice (shown in pink) There is also quite a bit of crushed ice a the launch that makes retreiving your truck, after the tires have gone in the water, a bit of a pain. Ask me how I know Mad

The serface temp variation was only 1 degree form the iced side to the non, and I dont think the wind blowing across the ice helped anything either. We were basically all over in the short time period we were on the water (3 hours from 2pm-5pm) The wind was pretty stiff blowing to the wnw at around 15mph+, and made drift fishing hard. There was a guy in the NE corner near the acadamy bay catching some small gills, but we were looking for bass and walleyes.

We did mark some fish, but getting them to bite was the problem. Leeches are not available yet were we get them (Butches Bait East of Bass Lake), so all we had were worms.
