Anyone in the Eastern part of this great state interested in some fast action, a good fight, and fine table fare? The yellow bass are hitting real good at Otter Creek near Tama/Toledo. I've put over 200 in my freezer this week. Nothing realy huge, averaging between 8-12 inches. Could have been a lot more but I prefer taking them with a fly rod. Problem is- they like to run towards the boat at times. And since are are such fast swimmers I just can't keep the line tight, thus they get a little slack and throw the fly. But fly fishing for them is so much fun that I refuse to put the fly rod up.
