may 9th, it was 78 degrees out, and we have been getting some rain. i didnt think the fishing was going to be to hot, was i wrong!

i started out with a senko to see if their were any active fish in cover, just tossing it out into the front of it. it was a strike king 3x zero(senko), it was the only plastic i had on all day, it lasted through 15 fish.

at the start it didnt seem good, i casted to 3 pieces of good looking cover, and not a nibble. on the next piece of cover, i got a nibble, and i turned out to be a fatty of a gill.

soon after that i missed my casting target cause of the wind, and it landed a little more of the bank than i thought, well i let it sink and i got a massive of a hit, turned out to be a beautiful 3lber.

the rest of the day i caught 9 more bucketmouths at 15-19inces, and 5 gills. all on a single, weightless senko.

i also got to show my fishing buddy how to use a senko, it wasnt that hard to tell em, and soon after that he was catchin em as fast as i was. actually on his first cast he got a 15incher, and is that not a great confidence booster? he now says its his best friend.
