Thank you in advance for any feedback or responses. You can also e-mail me at, animalhouse3764@yahoo.com. Keep yer reels lubed, and yer powder dry ! Thanx, Joseph
I know a place, that may be good for such a meet. There is a large pavilion below Barkley Dam. It has at least 6 picnic tables. And at least 4 large grills. It would easily hold 35 people. There is a launch ramp, just a few hundred yards from there. That ramp is for fishing the Cumberland river. Just accross the bridge, and to the left is a ramp for Lake Barkley. The area, offers fishing for everyone. Some people, are fearful of fishing from a boat. For them, there are places they can fish from shore. For the boaters, they can launch below, or above the dam. And if they chose, go all the way to the gulf. That would be a bit far though. It is about 35 miles down stream to the mouth of the river Where it empties into the Ohio. If they launch above the dam, both lakes are within easy reach. From the launch ramp, it is about 3 miles to the canal that connects to Kentucky Lake. Both lakes are over 35 miles long, with numerous bays. There are several motels, within a few minutes drive. Along with some restaurants, and plenty of bait shops. And for those who like to camp, there is the Land Between The Lakes. It is a national park, who's land area is over 177,000 acres.
