Here's where it all begins, Kentucky members... Wink<!--graemlin:;)--> How about setting up a "breakfast meeting" where you can all come together and introduce yourselves, eat breakfast, and then get the ball rolling on setting up a Kentucky Chapter and then organizing a Kentucky Meet ... Wink<!--graemlin:;)--> Feel free to put any ideas, thoughts or questions that you may have right here. Good luck to you and I look forward to seeing a KY Chapter and Meet sometime soon... Hey River Runner, Generally, The first ever meeting for all interested members that want to get a state chapter started up, would be in a centrally located place that would be pretty much equal travel time for all members. Then, after you get your first meeting set up, everyone shows up for breakfast, lunch or dinner, whichever time of day you all decide, Have a "Meet & Greet" time then eat. After eating have a meeting and nominate your officers(Chairman, Co-Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary). Now, what we done was collect cash donations from those members that wished to donate. We also set up our different committee's to organize for the "Big Meet". Food Committee, Donation/Raffle Items Committee, for example. We had this first meeting at a resturant that had a large banquet/meeting room large enough to hold everybody. If you have any questions, just drop in on the Ohio page and ask. Have a good day. Dennis

Are there any updates on a KY Chapter yet ?   You'all are invited to come to the Ohio Meet so you can get an idea of how you might want to do it.   BD

Would it be to much of a strech to split the Ky chapter in half? Or into regions?Kentucky is a long state, and there is no way I could go to a meet in the other end of the state, and I' m sure many members are in the same situation.

You can do anything you want. You can even start your own member meet. Good luck.

    I agree with Laura, lets do a West/East, or a West/Central-Northern/East thing.

Yeah the whole north eastern thing would work for me. With gas prices how it is i cant make a trip far west kentucky. I live in the north eastern area Ashland, ky to be exact close to greenup county, grayson, olive hill, morehead all of those areas wouldnt bother me a bit But as long as it aint a long trip from one side to another.

So far, y'all have 33 members or so registered on the members list so far. If you want to have the state split in half, that's fine. You could have a Eastern KY Chapter and a Western KY Chapter. Each one could have their own "Mini-Meet" each year and also have a "Main Meet" for all of the members in the state to get together once a year. There's lots of potential here folks, Hopefully you all can get this Chapter(s) kicked off this year yet.... BD
