I turned 68 yesterday. So my son came over from Oak Grove, to take me fishing. We always bet $1 on the first, biggest, and most fish. I was going to show the youngster, that I could still outfish him. So, as soon as we were tied up at my favorite fishing spot. I decided to get two lines in the water, as quick as I could. I got both rods ready to bait, while Jeff was tying us off. Then I put a yellow tail shad on the first rod, laying it with the line over the edge of the boat. Before I could put a bait on the other rod, the first one went flying out of the boat. I had no more than 4 feet of line out, in thirty feet of water. The outfit was a Tiger rod, with an Abu, 6500 c3 reel. On top of that, Jeff caught the first, most, & biggest fish. Costing me $3 more dollars. It was a fun time, other than losing my best outfit. I will never lay a baited rod that way again. I did not think what happened would happen. But when it comes to fishing, you just never know. From now on all my rods will be in the rod holders, where they belong.
