I consider my self a good angler. I seem to be able to catch my fair share of fish at most lakes I visit. But for some reason the bass at Greenbo elude me. Does anyone have any suggestions for bass fishing here. Thanks for any help.

Wish I could help you out, but I've never heard of it. Where abouts is it located?

It's located in the NorthEastern part of the state, out around Greenup. I mean there are bass there and big ones at that. 2 previous state records came out of there. The bass just frustrate me at this lake. I have caught every other species of fish from this lake but no bass. I have no problem catching bass and some darn good ones at that from other lakes. But Greenbo just makes me scratch my head and wonder what I am doing wrong.

Hard telling. If no one on here can help you out, I would start talking to some locals. I know half the time people wont give up there secrets, but it's worth a shot. I'll try to do a little research, and see if I come across any helpful info.

LOL. Have you tried www.fw.ky.gov  Sometimes they have advice on there. They also let you know how the fishing is. On another note. Have you seen Jerry2 or Fish-dunc-tional around lately? Joseph posted about a Ky. chapter, and I havn't heard anything back from him.

    TNT!!!!
I am from Greenup Loc. of the Lake your talking about.
I don't know what to tell you to be truthful. I know some people have OK luck around the Dam area using buzz bait's and soft plastic baits "Texas Rig".
I mainly just Fly Fish when I visit Greenbo Lake. HINT! "when I visit". lol
I will try to make contact with a few guys I know that fish that lake every weekend and find out what they like to use...

I've been there a few times myself. Wife likes to go because it's quite. I've seen bass there but never caught one. I believe you've got to go DEEP. Good luck, you'll need it. Locals won't tell you any truth to fishing there. Afraid you might win their Sat. tournament.
