Hey fellow NAFC members in Maryland!  Has anyone gone out for pickerel this winter?? If so where have you gone and how well did ya do?? I've fished the Magothy River a little....got a few here and there around random docks. I'm looking for something a little more consistant (arent we all?)  I hear the Severn River is good for the pickles, does anyone have an opinion?

Fished Loch Raven in Baltimore Co. this past weekend (dec 30th)  Can you say cold and wet?! Fished the northern side of the reservior in the back of a small cove standing on shore. Managed to eek-out 3 pickerel the largest being about 18 inches. Water level is REALLY LOW due to the drought this past spring and summer. There must have been at least 20 yards of exposed lake bed on the shore-line. With the drizzling rain, kinda made me feel like I was standing in peanut butter. Not spectacular, but it was muddy boot good time.
