I'm from nothern Berkshire County.

I stream fish for trout year round and icefish lakes and ponds in the winter.

Just about all of my fishing is in western Massachusetts, particularly Berkshire and Franklin Counties.

Do you ever fish Billington sea had our first bass tourney there on April 25th it was a cold windy day gusts up to 25 mph and temps in low 40tys.I caugh some bass but none that could measure up. The big bass of the day was 4.8 lbs and the big bag was 14 lbs on 5 fish. Tough conditions would like to try it early summer.

Nice fish, Kman!  What sort of trout was it - - a laker?  And what did you catch it on?

Do you do much stream fishing?  Personally, I'm partial to the Hoosic (Berkshire County), the Deerfield (Franklin County) and the East Branch of the Westfield (Hampshire County), but I'm willing to explore others.

no it was a largemouth, trolling a senko rigged weedless on an red offset shank hook(i do believe it makes a difference) in a belly boat , ive found trolling a senko is an awsome way to cacth fish , every now and then i let out about 50 ft of line and i get hits about 10 secs after i close the bale, they just swarm it, im still trying to post a pic of it but am having trouble

If it's a photo, you can try scaling it down using Picasa (free from Google at http://picasa.google.com) and then exporting to a smaller size. You can also upload the photo to a photo storing service like www.photobucket.com and then posting the link from there.

Good luck!

Hi All Ma Members

I just found this forum I'm from Somerville I do a lot of Lake and pond fishing all over the state. I caught my best last year at Harold Parker State Forest a 9lb bass on a palstic worm. I do all of my fishing from the banks hopefully this year I can get a boat.I think it's a great idea to start a chapter for Ma.

Please let me know I can be reached at  baccid@yahoo.com
