It,s that time of the year in Michigan for ice fishing. I,m from Sterling Heights and the ice is unsafe but went out to Metro Beach and fished off the docks yesterday and got about 18 perch in the 9" range. Small jigs tipped with minnows were what they liked.
Just a reminder: Every year fisherman go out for a nice day of fishing and end up in the water and have to be safed."Please" use some common sense and if the ice is unsafe don,t venture out. On Lake Saint Clair this happens quite often. I always have a life jacket on and have a 50' rope with me at all times. And personally, thoes fish aren,t worth possibably dying for and I think most of you will agree!!!!
