Let this post be the starting of "THE FISHING REPORT" and everyone can just add on to this to give their own fishing report.

Went to metro beach friday may 16 used some ultralight equiptment and crickets to see if we could catch any panfish or what have you,NOTHING !. A guy I talked to caught a 12" smallie looked to be on a spinnerbait(black with silver blades) or a buzzbait didn't get that great a look. we were fishing near the docks and canal(that nafc members met at in the past)

wormdunker says he's been sticking them all over the park, slow-fishing the soft plastics.  still hasn't seen many fish on the beds yet.  I haven't been out since our little meet.

fished off the pier at Brandenburg Park today with my future son-in-law.  I got one on a texas-rigged worm and one on a scrounger with a Zoom finesse worm.  Dave caught the biggest one.  A kid further down the pier caught a 28- and 30-inch pike

have been fishung the backside of metro for last 3-4 satudays and have been coming home with no less than 3 doz. bluegill each time all about 8-10 inches.  have also caught the occasional largemouth and dogfish back there too.

had also talked to a gentleman this past weekend and he said he is catching muskie and walleye out in front of the beach drifting rapalas and other similar small bodied baits.

sounds like a great idea but unfortunately the wife is works every Sat. so i can't usually get out til after then.  and this Sat. she has scheduled an eyedoctors apt. for that afternoon leaving me with extended kid patrol duties.

i told her to quit using bobbers and just feel the bite, and i just got the look.

like i said though it sounded like it would be fun and perhaps on another day i can make it.

hope all that do make it do well.  good luck!

Went out on LSC Sunday morning with a friend. Had to fight 23+ mph winds with what turned out to be 32mph gusts but ended up with 5 SM bass and 2 walleyes. The walleye that my buddy caught was 29 1/2". Didn't get its weight...the battery in my digital scale was dead.

This is late but, 2 weeks ago this past Friday, my wife & I went out down by the 400 club and caught 17 SM Bass, 1 Rock bass and 1 LM Bass and lost 2 others. This all in just over 2 hrs!!

    Good luck.

Went out yesterday evening with my 8 year old.  He caught his first legal  LM Bass 17-18 incher.  Should have seen the eyes on that boy when he realized it was on his spinnerbait.  All in all we caught and released around 12 fish ranging from 10 - 17or 18 inches.  Really a nice outing after dinner with my boy.  So far on this lake I'm fishing (in the backyard) I have boated hundreds of gills up to around 10 inches and nearly 50 bass all in the size range mentioned above (all were released).  Seems like a good find.  Jim

Well, Frogman blindfolded me and spun me around 3 times, then took me to his "secret spot".  Craig got a nice walleye and some rock bass and I got 2 white bass, about 13 and 15 inches long.  It was a nice morning on the water.

went out today with my daughter and future son-in-law in Port Austin.  we fished in Bird Creek off the state dock.  I pulled in a small white bass, dave got a smallie, a shad, a perch and a rock bass.  After saying we'd fish for another 15 minutes, I hooked into a 2-ft long catfish and it took about 5 minutes to get it close enough to shore for Dave to grab it.  Genny used her new-fangled camera and made a video.  as soon as she uploads it, I'll pass it along.  Oh, yeah, everyting was caught on crawlers.
