We're still getting smallies here, but we have to use soft shell crabs.

Was ging to post a pic of the walleyes we caught tonight, but the memory card in the camera says it has a format error (junked). Cheap Wal-mart cards, going back to Sandisc cards.

Anyway, 3 of us, on Rodgers Pond, using 3"-4" shinners, 1/2 oz. white jig heads,4lb. mono, jigging on bottom in 8' water next to the edge of the channel that is 35' deep.

We got 11 total, between 16"-19 1/2" and threw alot of 12"ers back. Didn't weigh them, no-one had a scale.

Haven't done this good for a while.

Where's Rodgers Pond at Chucky? I'm not much of an eye fisherman, I do what I can do from shore. I'll throw in on gas money and all the other expenses if you could show me how a Walleye champ does it. I'll bring the beer if you bring me the fish.

Rogers Pond is just south of Big Rapids, site of Ferris State University, home of the Fighting Bullfrogs!

thats where pillman went to school--college that is.

sounds like ya had a great nite there chuck. took the wife out yesterday morning and didn't do to bad. we cleaned 15 gills that where between 7 1/2 and 8 1/12 inchess. i also caught a 20" bass on my fly rod--that was a blast. almost all the fish came in about 3' of water right next to the bullrushess.

i had my fly rod rigged with a spinning real, using a pink jig with a white bode grub....i believe the jig size was a 1/32oz......about the size of a pinkie jig.

I went to Ferris State in 05-06 as well, and we're BULLDOGS! Didn't get much out of it though, didn't stay too focused. I focused a little more on drinking than anything else. I hear they've got rental properties up there at Roger's, we're thinkin about gettin one in the fall. I'll shoot ya a ring soon Pillman, we'll go throw some lures.
