i live in menominee and the browns nor the salmon have started running. i'm starting to get slightly angry! i've been dying to fish off are light house for them and with bow season bear season now i have to make days for each and on november 17 i deploy to iraq again so i'm gonna miss the whitefish. are the browns and salmon running by anyone else? if so where do you live?

talked to my buddy lastnight and he said he hasn't heard of any salmon in the rivers yet.we fish around the gulliver area.also ,stated that he hasn't seen any deer or bear yet.has alot of pictures on his cameras.i guess that's the way it goes.i will be in that area on the 15th-19th for deer and to wet a line.anyway, you be safe when you deploy for iraq and let us know how your doing.THANKS FOR SERVING!

yeah 3 weeks ago the bear were hitting my bait and all times of the day then i leave 5 days before season to go do some highspeed army traning about  5 days before i came back (was gone for 2 weeks) all the baits stopped getting hit now there being hit but not until 9 oclock at night. (according to the trail cam) between the bears not hitting and the friken fish not biting (have only caught one large mouth since the 25th of september i'm ready to go insane.

just being out there is better than being bored.one of them will screw-up and you'll put it down or bite on your bait.just don't catch all the fish before i get a chance to try.did you do your training at grayling?i spent alot of time there while i was in(18yrs.).good fishing in the au-sable in the fall for steelies.
