hey pillman, i might be able ta help ya out.
what part of the summer ya planning on going??? give me a bit more info and maybe i can unlock a better time table of info for ya.
ya might want to plan yer fishing trips on the lake early in the mornings or after dark. this lake has alot of speed boat traffic along with wave runners.
i use to get the walleye's and smallies along the sharp breaks leading to deep water in the southend of the lake. robbins bay near the state park is good for crappie, walleyes and bass along the weed edges. the rice beds are good during the spring and early summer.
good luck pillman and it was good ta hear from ya.

thanks dave, i'm in a place right now and trying to find all the info i can for wetting aline around here. i have found a couple of places to try once the ice breaks up from the pier heads and found a spot on a river not to far from where i'm staying.
pillman the summer traffic might be in full swing and starting to drive the walleyes and the muskies into the deeper water. but i think robins bay would be a good place to start yer search. look for the weed edges and fish bothsides of them. early in the morning and evenning.
you should be able to get a good map of the lake and study it. the lake is shape kind of like a 4 leaf clover and robins bay is in the northeast bay. the deepest part of the lake is in the southend by the marinia's. there are a couple of bait shops on the lake. the 1 i like to go to when fishing in that area is on the westside of the lake on the main road that goes around the lake and it's called gillettes. kopins-- if they are still open is near the state psrk on the northend of the lake.
if ya have any ? i'll try and help ya out. i will keep adding more info everytime i have a chance to get on. i have to go to library for now and can only make it when it's open once a week most of the time. |
