I'm chopping at the bit.  A week ago I was rabbit hunting and found some duck slews frozen it got me excited and I was just wondering anything worth fishing yet.

I'ld say within a week or so. I walked out on some in Fergas Falls today. It was about an 1-1/2" thick. Buddies and I are going to try some smaller lakes this weekend.

We're good to go here this weekend with about 5" of ice. I know we're north of you...but not that far. All the snow in the Duluth area these past couple of days we slow the freeze though

Ice huts are out and people are driving their trucks on the ice here. Not much snow, but plenty of ice.

7 to 13 inches in the Litchfield, Paynesville area depending on the lake. Lots of atv traffic, permanents starting to show. Hav yet to talk to someone who has been catching numbers of sizeable fish.

Slushy weather has eaten the first layer of ice. Had some 8 inch dropped back down to 6 inches.

After a few days of deep freeze most places have 12 inches of ice now...still needs a few more good days before the truck will go out on the ice for some places.

13" to 14" on Bald Eagle north of the metro. Some decent crappies and a few nice perch. The walleye seem to still be moving around quite a bit.
