Hello, I have been going through my book the sent me "catch fish, anytime, anywhere" I am new at fishing {sort of <!--graemlin::D--> } I live in Missouri. I know we have alot of pike and musky, and gar, along with every kind of catfish. It seems to me that the same lures are really used for everything, mostly anyway :ie jigs, spinners etc. Now for gar and fish like that it says to use a metal leader. Lets face it, when you through your line in say with a jig of some kind, the book says that Crappies and pike will take to it. <!--graemlin::p--> along with just about EVERYTHING ELSE ! How do you know WHAT will bite on it ? <!--graemlin::confused:--> How do you know when to use and not to use a metal leader ? and also, when should swivels be used ?
