    I have just bought a bait casting reel, hehe, on clearance at Wally World. its a $140.00 reel, been on clearance awhile, go it for $30.00. Problem is,,,,,,I HAVE NEVER USED ONE ! I hear thy are really hard, but it was too good a deal to pass up. Any tips or secrets so I dont get a massive "birds nest " ?

    Well I ordered the Pinnacle reel in the members store, decided to give baitcasters a try. I aint got it yet so cant really tell you anything about it yet. Might have made a bad choice, I dont know.

    read your directions on setting all the different adjustments correctly and then find a big open area and practice practice practice. dont be discouraged when you get a birds nest because you will ( even the pros do ) just like anything else the more you use it the better you will get. if i can master one anyone can and it opens up a whole new world of fishing for you. good luck

    i own several pinnacle reels and after some practice would not use another btrand unless forced too. i use them almost exclusively now even though i own hal/a/dozen other baitcasters. read your directions and practice practice practice. and rememeber you will still get a backlash occaisionally even after practice but i think you will find it opens up a whole other world of fishing for you. good luck

    thanks duckman, i still aint got it yet and its gotta warm up alot before i can get any practice in,lol.
