Hello Rodrigo, Haven't heard of anyone catching anything at Hillsdale through all my connections.

As far as a wadeable stream, check out just at the Southern edge of Martin City, MO / which is a few miles  South off I-435 at Holmes Rd. The creek is actually the Big Blue River, but it runs right along the roadside and there may be parking of some. kind near it. I see a lot of pot holes and riffles in this area. And I know folks have caught Bass Panfish and Catfish out of these holes

If you hear a lot of shooting going on, DONT WORRY. There is a Shooting Range and club up over the hill from the spot you can see to fish.

Another location is Just East off Homles Rd and Blue Ridge Blvd there is a small park there and one should be able to park and walk over to again, the Big Blue River.

From that location go left/ East on Blue ridge Blvd. towards Grandview and around 2 corners/ the Blue River Road exits off and follows The Big Blue all the way down to US 71 Hwy.

I believe Federal laws allow anyone to wade or fish a river /stream/creek as long as they stay within the high water level marks. Thus you should be able to fish much of the water above Martin City and very close to US 71 Highway.

Again do to unknowns in the water, I would catch and release only as well.

Indian Creek mentioned above is very near my place [about 1 mile] and there are fish in it. A walking path goes along part of it. From 103rd street to somewhere N.E. to maybe say 100th Terr. [ nearly a good mile away] but it is a very long walk and should have many places to get off the sidewalk and fish. Certainly Catch and release in this area.

Fellers, we seriously need to plan a bar-b-que, tick picking, or something! Seriously, there is enough of us here in south KC to get together and have an excuse to drink a beer or seven while bullshitting about fishing, minimally. For the love of god, somebody just say, "let's meet here." Any saturday after 10 am is good for me. FYI, work is going to begin soon on the Red Bridge Road replacement/widening ( I know because I staked the borings). Maybe we can meet in Minor park and throw baits into the river like we're idiots for a few hours at the least before any construction fouls up water quality. I'd be happy to only catch poison ivy and a severe sunburn at this point... Sorry I didn't make it to Wichita (sorry Rodrigo). Once again, family interfered with boys fun (at this point I am thinking conspiracy) . TC (Shane)

Hey TC!  Did you get my e-mails to your direct address?

I'm all for it.  I'm open for an hour or two this weekend, June 14 / 16, but I'll be in Boston next weekend.

Let's do it!

Hey guys looks like everyone is done south. I have found some pretty good fishing in the northland. There are a couple of decent streams and some great ponds up here. I had not fished for a while after moving to Missouri. Used to fish a lot back home in West Virginia. I am back with a vengeance though there is some awesome fishing here in Missouri and some great stuff here in the Northland.
