I got a fish that I have not been able to catch yet. The only place that I seem to be able to get him to bite is about 5 foot from some willow trees and every time I hook him he heads right for those trees. He has broken 20lb test line 3 times and 30lb test one time. He is going to mess up one of these days. Thats my story and I am sticking to it. It is true.

Drove 50 miles lake to lake no open water..1/17/09
Do they have to be current stories?
If not, over christmas i caught 5 or 6 rainbows at montauk..first time i've fished their since i became wheelchair bound but unfortunately limited to just a couple spots along the stream.

went fishing sat on a private lake near leasberg. 12 small bass ( 6-12 inches ) 10 green sunfish all small and 42 bluegill 16 of which were 9 inches or better. they were actually measured not a guess. all this was done in less than 4 hours of fishing all during the heat of the day. unfortunately no one brought a live basket or stringer. also helped two nephews 3 & 4 yo catch there first fish on e of which was the biggest gill of the day 11 1/2 inches big. going back down on the 4th. we are bringing live baskets this time probably wont catch a thing then . duckman st louis mo |

Went to Otter Slough late Friday afternoon. Caught only 2 fish, but one of them was a bass a little over 19 inches that weighed @5 lbs. A little disappointing cause I've usaully been averaging 8 to 10 fish every trip there, but I usually go early in the morning. Took my dad who is 76 out and done some catfishing Saturday morning. We went to a private pond and done pretty good counting the little ones that we threw back we caught over 20 fish. I think the biggest was only @ 3 lbs, but we had fun, and we went back to his house and had a fish fry for Fathers day, so it was a good time. |

fished that private lake on the 4th , 40-50 fish and two water snakes. kept 15 bluegill /sunfish starting at 9" and as big as 11". gave to my dad he loves to eat fish. caught a few small bass and 1 that went 16 ". the 2 water snakes were laying in the submerged weeds at my feet. and would attack my worm as i was dragging thru the weeds. both hooked right in the corner of the mouth just the way they teach ya.the stupid things evev after they were hooked still followed me around and would still try to get the worm off my hook but were not as aggressive as before they were hooked. also threw a frog for awhile and had bass so small grabbing it they couldn't evev get there mouths around it.all the bass were caught on senkos . caught a couple of the bluegills on countdown rapalas the rest on good ole nightcrawlers or red wormsgot a trip booked on lake michigan in about 3 1/2 weeks for salmon really looking forward to that the rest of this month is booked so i probably wont get out again until then but i might try to sneak a couple of hours in someplace locally igf i can. kinder it,s time like this wherte i envy you havinfg your own pond. makes it easier to get out for a couple of hours duckman st louis mo |
