Is anyone interested in doing a Montana NAFC Members Meet?  If so respond to this post and I can work on getting something planned for spring/summer 2009.

    Hi all,

I haven't heard from anyone concerning a Montana Member Meet, perhaps it might generate a bit more conversation if I toss some tenative dates, places, and times.  Maybe we could get together at either Canyon Ferry Resevoir (near Townsend), Lake Holter (south of Cascade), or perhaps at Fort Peck Resevoir (which is considered Montana Sport Fishing Mecca).  I know there are campsites at all of these locales, and there are boat launches and such.  I was also thinking perhaps July or August, and I was thinking that we could possibly look at a tenative list of events.  Something in the order of a fishing clinic, and perhaps open the invite to members from other states.  As I have not ever organized anything like this, I will need to get some feedback from members to see if it is even worth while to do.  I don't want to spin my wheels if no one is interested in attending.  I can also talk to some of the local businesses to see if they would "donate" prizes for a raffle, or a contest, or something along those lines.  I can also envision a "fish story" contest so we can all hear about that Whopper that got away.  Anyways, I will let you mill it over, and please let me know what you guys/gals think.

Hey Theolan, I'm well aware of the glories of Montana. My father and stepmother live in Worland Wyoming and I've been to Montana a few times myself. Would love to take you up on it but just not possible as I'm a self employed small business owner and if i'm not working I'm not earning. Good luck on getting your meet together.     Happy fishing.

Well even the boss needs a break now and then.  The offer is always open.  If you ever get up this way, let me know, and I will take you to a few of the best fishin spots in MT.

Thanks Theolan. I'm going to try to get up to Worland next year to see my dad. If  I do I'll try to take you up on your offer. All the best to you.     Happy fishing.
