Within the next year and a half I will be moving to the Las Vegas area from Florida. Due to my wifes health. I was wondering if any one from this area could let me know of any good lakes or fishing holes in the area<

Well SparkChaser, welcome to the desert, whenever you make it.  My wife and I moved to Bullhead City AZ, from San Diego because of her asthma so I know the feeling.  Look on your state map, from the Vegas area you will have access to good portions of Lake Mead and Lake Mojave.  Much different type of water than Florida but Largemouths, Smallmouths and Stripers are still the same basic fish.  good luck in whatever you decide.

get ready for a fishing culture shock sparkchaser , i've lived here my whole life and the fishing is good the bad part is the heat in the summer and the travel if you want to fish water other than the colorado river system . you'll have a blast on lake mead and lake mojave chasin' striper boils!!!!!!!
