what for? where? quite a few rensselaer co waters have extended seasons or year round fishing for trout and a few other species. the lakes should be heating up for trout soon i would think.

since you said mohawk i would assume you would rather target warmwater fish...smallmouth might still be on in the normanskill. what about the hudson? seems like there's always something to chase out there.

Any one know of any spots where the fish are still biting? My spot on the Mohawk River quit producing any fish as soon as the temps started to drop, but i still want to fish.

I was thinking grafton...but also had some luck off and on last fall at Glass Lake.

If you stream fish for trout, much of the kinderhook is open until the end of november.

I'd like to get out for some late season bass personally...havent done much of that all year.

isky3 if you want to try fishing up in Saratoga County, give me a shout and we can see if we can find a few Walleys. Those eyes should be getting hungry and needing to fatten up for winter. I would like to fatten up on some of them.

isky, i havent done much trout fishing in grafton (which has been my focus this year), but i've been surprised by the size of some of the bass up there. long pond can be really nice when the wind isnt whipping up too bad. had a scary moment last fall in the canoe during a surprise thunderstorm.
