We have a couple ponds here with some good size bass in them. There's always the river. I've pulled some nice cats out of there.
Not haveing a boat limits the options.

I've lived in NY all my life (59 yrs.) and I'm still not sure what to call the area I live in! The city dwellers call it upstate, but the folks on the St. Lawrence call it downstate. The locals refer to it as the "southern tier", but I've heard other area's called that as well! I've been following the plans for the NY get-together at Seneca and would love to attend.. but it's the same time as our Canadian get-away! Maybe next time! Anyway.. that's a bit about me! I live in what is refered to as the northern catskills, I live between the head waters of the east and west branches of the delaware river both of which is only a couple a miles from my house.

I was out to Conesus lake this past summer. Nice area. We have a member meet in september on Seneca lake.

Hi all, I am from Central NY, 20 miles north of Syracuse. I fish Lake Ontario primarily for Salmon and trout. We have a 24' Tompson hardtop fisherman, fully rigged. We are moving the boat to Mexico this year, have been fishing Henderson Harbor for the past 30 years. A great fishery up there, just with gas prices, it will be cheaper to have the boat closer home. I also do some stream fishing for trout and salmon on the Oswego and Salmon rivers. look forward to posting reports and willing to help with any questions.
