Took the boat out for the first time yesterday to try my hand at a little crappie fishing. No crappie but a ton of pickerel. Water temp was 54dg.and very clear. Weed lines arn't even close to topping out yet. Lots of boat traffic but not that many fishermen. I marked a lot of fish mainly in 23 to 25 ft. of water, probably "eyes". I'll be back up there next Saturday for opening day of walleye season. They seem to be hard to catch in that lake, but they have been in the 7lb range on average. Does anyone out there fish this lake?
