Good Morning fellow NYers and Happy Thanksgiving! Not particularly impressed with the "new" board.. but hopefully they'll get it working better. Seems a bit slow and giving up half the page for advertising seem strange, but.. what do I know! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Ah, seven more months Turnip and I'll be joining you on SS. (early out 62). I better do it then. God knows if I'll still be around at 65. Everyone here tells me once you have a herat attack the final one comes within 3 years after that 1st one. I hope the hell their all wrong. I was planning on hanging around another 20 to 30 years.

    Hey bayliner

My father died 15 years after his heart attack ,of cancer. So I don't believe that you have to worry. But you do need to take care of yourself. Got to change what has caused your ticker trouble. You should be fishing for another 20 years or more if you behave.

What did me in was years of good food and a little to much beer in my younger days. Also probably the fact that I started smoking when I was barley 15. Got rid of the first two. Just have to put the finishing touch on the stop smoking.

I hear you bayliner. When my father first went into the hospital the doctor told him to quit smoking. My father said no.  the doctor told him he wasn't going to waste his time trying to help someone who refused to help himself and walk out of the room and never returned. That scared my father and he quit smoking that day. But lung cancer got him 15 years later. The damage from 40 years of smoking. So quit my friend do what ever it takes to stop. If not for yourself for your family. Smoking is a selfish thing you are the only one who gets anything out of it. Everyone else around has to put up with it.

I guess you can tell I'm not a smoker.

I hope everyone has a great day.

At age 58, I am a very happy camper to be retired!  That comes out of 331/2 years of service to the same company!  Frank, I am on SS disability.  Fortuneatly for me I had met all requirements for full retirement when I retired.
But hey, Frank is right, you can and will quit smoking if your family means anything to ya!  I started at age 13 and quit 10 years ago and never looked back!

    Best of luck, Jim!
