Hey all,

I'm in Schodack, southern Rens. County.

Right now I'm looking forward to using a 2wt fly rod I'm building for trout. After that come the stripers and the shad. And in June, bass, carp...whatever! It really doesn't matter!

New member just signed up today. Figured I would pop my head in the forums and see what was going on. I'm from East Greenbush, just across the Hudson from Albany. Time to start getting gear ready for the stripers.

Welcome snipe. You are just across the river from stonecrusher he's a master carp fisherman. He regularly fishes at Henry Hudson Park. I keep saying I'm going to fish for stripers, but can't find the time in May to do this. Maybe next year. This year I'm headed to the NE meet in Lake George. There are alot of good people here on the BB so enjoy.

I think about getting out and doing some trout fishing every year but never do for one reason or another. It would definately be a learning experience for me as I have never really focused on trout before.

I know what you mean, i'm not much of a trout fisherman either. I generally catch a few a year. But there not what I target. Don't forget there is the Northeast member meet May10th on the upper end of lake george at Rogers Rock camp ground.

welcome guys,

I'm looking forward to fishing with ChrisG in the weeks coming up.

I hope that we get into a mother load of fish. Either trout from the banks or get the canoe out in one of my panfish honey holes.

I'll be seeing ya on Friday,

Fish On!

Hey everyone.  I'm from northern ny in the Adirondack Mountains, bout 1/2 hours south of plattsburgh and 20  min East of Lake Placid.  I try to fish for anything, i'm mostly out of my canoe when the ice is out.  Been tryin my luck at Trout on the AuSable but i'm horrible with a fly rod and have yet to see any action from my spining outfit.  Last season did pretty well with the smallies and large mouth and got a few nice pickerel and Pike.  Cant leave out the Bullhead, love those tastey little buggers!

Welcome Jim,

I'm Fred. I'm from Oneida in Madison County. I can't wait until the snow clears enough to get to my favorite fishing hole. I usually fish at Mt Hope Reservoir in Oneida, but I do like to travel all over, usually at whatever DEC site I can find.

Thought I'd responded to this thread, but I guess not.. so here goes. I'm Chris and live near Binghamton, NY (just north of the PA border). Summer months you'll find me trolling for walleyes on either Lake Erie,  Lake Ontario or Oneida Lake. The rest of the fishable year I spend on our local river, the Susquehanna, also fishing for walleye. I do hit Canada once a year for bass with my buddies, and also try for salmon occassionally, but my real passion is hunting Hog walleyes. Still hoping to make a Finger Lakes Meet, but I hate to make promises. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
